A Summary of My Gaming Interests

There is quite a bit to know about me and video games, and I never actually sat down to write and describe it! So let's get right into it. First off, the most important thing to know about me as a gamer is that I garner an intense love of Hideo Kojima's work. I love the Metal Gear nut and go absolutely crazy over the franchise!(Ask anyone that has known me longer than a minute. I cannot wait for the next installment in the series, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and if you hear of any Metal Gear news and you're within a mile of me, online when I'm online on Steam or PSN or any other gaming service, it is best to unplug your computer as soon as you can, reinforce your windows and doors. Then proceed to hide under your desk because I EXPLODE when I hear about this stuff. If you bring up Metal Gear I will ramble on and on about it. Like, I literally get high when I ramble about Metal Gear. Big Boss is the god of the gaming universe, the absolute pinnacle in my opinion! Secondly, I am heavily into Japanese games and culture.

Okay, what else...oh yes! I write about the gaming industry in my spare time, usually reviews, rumors, or speculation pieces. I am an intern at small time graphic design firm 2nd Look Graphic Design, I am also an Editor on VGfury.com and a Game Page/Boxart moderator at Playfire.com also. I own many different systems, old and new. I own a two Sega Genesis systems, one with a working Sega CD attachment, a Nintendo 64, a Nintendo Gamecube, a Playstation 2 slim, a Playstation 3 slim, a high-end gaming PC, and a Playstation Portable. My favorite genres is a mix between Stealth, Action, and RPGs. I love and live for enthralling stories. Tales of triumph, tales of valor and tales of sadness or even death. I also am a big fan of The Walking Dead Telltale Game series. Feel free to add me! I play on pretty much everything, though I don't own and Xbox 360. I love creating content, and I hope to major in Graphics Design and Animation once I graduate from high school. Rumor: The Phantom Pain is Kojima's troll

Rumor: The Phantom Pain is Kojima's troll, really Metal Gear Solid?

Why does The Phantom Pain look a lot like Metal Gear? Well, according to neoGAF, there is quite a LOT of similarities with it and Metal Gear.

1) The CEO of Moby *expletive deleted* Studio (the mysterious studio allegedly in charge of the game). His name is supposed to be Joakim Mogren. Both his first AND last name hold suspicious. Rearrange his first name and what do you get? KOJIMA. Next, his last name. Kojima is supposed to be working on some Project Ogre game and- oh look, his last name is mOGREn.

2) Scars on the main characters right side of his face look familiar…

3) White Petals and Prosthetic arm.

As for the arm, lemme remind you who lost an arm. Well, technically, he didn’t “lose” an arm, but he did lose an arm via transplant.

Or Ocelot. Either one works.

4) The flaming guy looks familiar…

And now we see the result of said flaming area via Ground Zeroes, with a guy supposedly known as Volgin…

or hell, the guy above might be the main character’s companion. You know, the guy whose HEAD IS WRAPPED IN A TOWEL!!

Speculation: Fox didn’t mean FOX in the game; Fox meant Fox ENGINE. And the trailer seems be made of the Fox Engine. Seeing as how the game’s title is Phantom Pain…..Is there another game aside from this?!

This is all from tumblr and I figured it was an interesting theroy. I highly doubt The Phantom Pain IS Metal Gear though, maybe they are using the FOX Engine though? It is possible. 

PlanetSide 2|The Final Word In Shooters This Year

What if MAG, Halo, Starhawk, and Battlefield were all blended together in to one game? Well, it would be called PlanetSide 2. This is an amazing game, and a gem in the free to play department. The game takes place hundreds of years in tot he future on a planet named Auraxis. The planet, containing flora and fauna similiar to that of our earth also contained something else. Advanced technology created by an advanced alien race labeled the Vanu or ancients by the colonists of Auraxis. The discovery gave way to a whole new age of technology, where vehicles, weapons, and bases can be produced with nanites. They then discovered that the nanites can also reconstruct humans, thus leading the way to immortality. Contact with Earth is cut off and the wormhole, an anomaly that allowed those of Earth to discover and travel to Auraxis closed. War between the colonists ensued and thus we have our three factions.



       
PlanetSide 2 lets you choose your allegiance. Will you fight for the sake of enlightenment, or will you fight to restore balance and order? Or will you oppose that order? It is up to you. You can take the helm of a variety of vehicles ranging from heavy tanks and transport vehicles to light aircraft to giant drop ships. The weapons system is deep, with multiple weapons, attachments, colors, and skins to be put on you will see a huge variety. You can also customize vehicles and upgrade them to suit your needs. The world consists of three continents that these three factions are striving for control of. There are no matches, once you deploy in the world it is up to you where you fight. Each continent is huge and environments are large and varied too. From the sweeping medows and jungle environments of Amerish to the barren and unforgiving deserts of Indar the immersing visuals will leave you in awe and I can almost guarantee you're going to stop a few times to appreciate what the Planetside 2 team worked so hard to create; A vibrant and stunning world. I highly suggest trying this game. It is free on Steam.
